VOLUME DESCRIPTION

Il museo della terra di Latera. Oggetti, riti, storie di una realtà contadina (The museo della terra of Latera. objects, rituals, stories of farming life), was born with the intent to provide visitors with a written guide as they follow the museum’s itinerary. The first chapter offers an introduction to the museum as a whole and what it represents for the town of Latera and its territory. Chapter II contains texts describing the items that belong to the Poscia collection, displayed on the ground floor, while the next chapter focuses on the exhibit on the upper floor, dedicated to the intangible goods. In chapter IV visitors will find information essential to navigating not only the Museum’s orchard and vegetable garden but the nature of Alta Tuscia as well. The tour ends with chapter V, dedicated to the educational programs offered by the museum. An additional chapter pays homage to the town, with a short account of its history, followed by a detailed description of the external and internal paths that lead from the three main churches to the heart of the village almost to the edge of the Latera territory.
